Hello again everybody! Today we have some big news .  In the Chicken Scratch incubator we hatched a little baby chick!!! Right now, as I type, the baby chick is learning to talk walk and attempt to run.
Here is the chick. It is very tired after spending a whole day mining its little way through the shell of its egg.

The Chicken Scratch trailer has officially moved down to the barn. Our rooster, Templeton and his flock are happily  strutting around the barnyard, pecking out bugs and scratching in the grass.
Here they are running to greet us. Did you know chickens are very enthusiastic little birds?

Chicken Scratch News

Chicken scratch is proud to house 65 new female pullets (young chickens) and 10 baby bantams (small chickens, who specialize in hatching eggs) Connie, our rooster is very pleased. Very soon, when these birds start laying we will come back to business fully.

Maisie, our junior employee, has named a beautiful, snow white cochin bantam after her self and says that she is the ''cutest little thing''.
Here's Maisie with Maisie the chick.
As you would expect, being an employee here is hard work, especially for her. I think she needs new hours. :-) It is rather obvious as she is using a stump in the garden as a pillow. Maybe Mother Nature offered her a rest. :-)
